Update Tuesday 4/13/21 11am
Big news today - Johnson and Johnson is being paused! Do not get this vaccine right now.
Cancel your J&J appointments and get rescheduled for Pfizer or Moderna.
With Allen Fire Dept first shots being over, and Collin County losing predictability on when they open their appointments (they were not open on friday at 10am as advertised.), and the J&J's being halted, we are in for more scarcity of available good vaccines this week.

I found an explanation from ZDogg MD - talking about the Astra Zeneca and J&J blood clot issue.

Week 8 is a big week - starting 2-1-2021. There is a big allocation of doses that were put back into the state system that were leftover from immunizing at long term care facilities. This is the week to get vaccinated!
Good Luck my friends!

Week 8 lists all the locations receiving vaccine this week, starting tomorrow, Monday Feb 1.
The first page has the HUBS, that are supposed to be vaccinating the public in large numbers. I like to look at the column that has County. The list is alphabetized by county, then city. After the HUBS are all listed, then additional vaccine providers are listed, again by county. These are usually smaller allocations in pharmacies, doctors offices, hospitals, or clinics. Hubs have different rules about how they must be providing vaccines than the additional providers. Hubs are not supposed to require an established relationship, (current patient), limit to 1a only, or require you to live in their county.
**Hubs are supposed to be open to all Texans in 1a or in 1b, no matter what county, no matter if you are an established patient there or not. ** Not all of hubs were following this over the last two weeks, but this time when I checked, it looks like they are available like they are supposed to be. For instance, UT Southwest in Dallas County was only vaccinating established patients. Now, they are taking names from the Dallas County signup. You still cannot go sign up at UT Southwestern unless you are a patient there within the last 3 years, but you could be directed to an appointment with them from the Dallas County signup. Hope that makes sense. This also means that you can sign up for a Hub vaccine list anywhere in the state that you are willing to drive to. I have added info about 3 other nearby counties for this reason. So you could conceivably sign up, get an appointment and drive to a Hub in San Antonio or Houston to get vaccine if you are willing. San Antonio/Bexar county seems to be receiving very large numbers of vaccines since the beginning. Hopefully between the 4 counties within an hours drive, vaccine seekers will get appointments here.
